In honor of the End of the World predicted for Saturday, May 21, I’m re-launching my book, with a “Pre-Rapture Fire Sale.”

I pull out my old East Texas/Deep South accent and have some fun with it, on “Consequences.”

(“Constitution” seems to be crashing occasionally; I’m not sure if that’s YouTube or me.)

Plus, the Nook ePub version of the book is now ready for purchase, and the Kindle version is, they tell me, just a few days away.

Sales have been good recently, and I’m happy with how things are going.

Wow. New Book Review Just In

I’m working on some new promotional ideas for my book, Red Neck, Blue Collar, Atheist.

One of them involves getting quotes from well-known atheist bloggers and speakers, and posting them on a revamped website devoted to the book.

One of them came today, and when I read it on my Droid, I just about jumped out of my chair and yelled BOOYAH!! Unfortunately, I was in the library, and that wouldn’t have been polite.

It’s from Greta Christina, well-known blogger and speaker on atheism and human sexuality.

For anyone — believer or atheist — who thinks atheism is only for a formally educated elite because the hoi polloi ‘need’ religion, this book is absolutely mandatory. Knock that idea out of your head right now — Hank Fox is as passionate and unapologetic about his atheism as Richard Dawkins. And his writing is smart, clear, straightforward, and often drop-dead funny. Red Neck, Blue Collar, Atheist is a pleasure and a page-turner: I got lots of good new ideas from it, and new ways of looking at well-traveled godless terrain. Bravo.

Don’t tell me that doesn’t absolutely ROCK.

Speaking of The Book, have you read it yet? I’m working on the Kindle/Nook/Ebook versions right now, and should have them up for sale in just a few days.

But meanwhile, it’s on Amazon and Barnes&Noble.

I hear it’s pretty good.

Today features a trio of happy events related to subjects dear to my heart.

Richard Dawkins turns 70.

Leonard Nimoy turns 80.

I’m completing the ebook translation of my book. I should be both Kindled and Nooked in just a day or so.

Happy Birthday, Richard and Leonard! And well, both of you DO please live long and prosper.

Successful Book Signing!

A big THANK YOU to all the people who showed up at my book signing. Quite a few people came by to enjoy the moment, several bought books, and several more stayed for some time. Thanks especially to local atheist Meetup group members John, Laird and Risa, to group founder Ben (and his two beautiful little girls, one of whom insisted on giving me a hug), and to Facebook friends Colin and Susan.
